Unfortunately, there is no registry of physical therapists who are qualified to treat patients using Myofascial Release. Finding one thus remains a networking and word-of-mouth affair. Finding a good one requires doing your homework. I regret that I am no longer able to provide referrals to therapists who have studied with me. Please call your local physical and occupational therapy departments and practices to locate a therapist who has studied and uses Myofascial Release. You'll need to ask how long the therapist has used these techniques or how many patients the therapist has treated.
If you live in or near Charleston, SC, or if you'll be spending time here, you're welcome to call my office for an appointment. South Carolina now allows direct access to physical therapy services. You no longer need a doctor’s order for physical therapy. However, this does not mean your health insurance will pay for physical therapy treatment. Call your insurance carrier to discuss your coverage and for pre-approval of out-patient physical therapy without a physician’s order.
If your primary insurance is Medicare, you must have a doctor’s order for physical therapy. Medicare will pay a maximum of $1500 per calendar year for out-patient physical therapy.

We are located in West Ashley at 12C Carriage Lane. Carriage Lane is one block long running between Highway 61 and Highway 171. We're in a red brick building with brick arches. The "12" is right above our door. There's a bus stop just up the street on Carriage Lane.
On occasion out-of-town patients can be accommodated for intensive short-term treatment. Call (843) 556-6363 to schedule a brief telephone consultation if you are planning a trip to Charleston and wish to receive treatment.
